PowerPoint Rules
Your slideshow must:
- have 25 slides (-2 points per missing slide)
- any educational topic ok
- PG-13 rated
- must contain no nudity
- use graphics or pictures (-10 points)
- at least 20 of the 25 slides have to also include a reasonable amount of text (-10 points)
- text must be readable (-10 points)
- if you use video (maximum of 1), they need to be .mov, .avi, or .mpg
- use slide transitions on all slides (-10 points)
- use text effects on at least 20 slides (-10 points)
- use at least 1 sound (-10 points)
- sound can be music or sound clips from powerpoint
- if you use music, it needs to be .mp3 or .wav
- use automatic timings on all slides (-10 points)
- use background formatting (-10 points)
- be creative
- no snakes, no spiders, no raggae, no death metal, no calypso (automatic 0)
There are no acceptable abscences during PowerPoint presentations. You will drop one whole letter grade (overall for class) for each day of presentations missed. If you are more than 15 minutes late or decide to take a restroom break that lasts for longer than 15 minutes, you will drop ½ a letter grade (overall for class) for each day of presentations missed.
Volunteers will be taken first. If there are no volunteers, names will be called at random. Your presentation is due at the time your named is called. If you are not ready, you will recieve a grade of "0" (irreversible).
